The Mayan civilization seem to fall apart around the ninth century. My theory for this collapse is that for a long period of time, a horrible drought swept over the Yucutan Peninsula. At first the Mayans didn't mind because of the underground canals of water that flowed throught their empire. But after so long, the canals started drying up. With no major lakes or rivers to get water from, the people couldn't drink or get water to grow their crops. Eventually their supplies ran out and the Mayan people couldn't survive any longer, so a major portion of the population died, therefore killing the great empire of the Maya.Thursday, November 6, 2008

Ancient Peruvian cultures: Moche, Sipan, Chimu, Inca
Moche:
My first impression of this place is the environment. Trees and mountains for all the eye can see. Many people are farming. Warriors walk by and the farmers show respect. When they walk by me, I don't do anything. The warriors look at me with a cold stare, and point there spears at me. Time to go!

Sipan: I see many people gathered around two very large men. The men seem to be holding a tomb! It is an elaborate tomb, covered with carvings. The men are going down into a tomb. Boring!

VP debate
Sara Palin only talked about energy and oil, which obviously shows that she doesn't have much of a plan for other issues, which can't be good. Joe Biden said that we might have to have less tax cuts than he originally said, but that is what this country needs. I will help the country with oil and taxes!
Mrs. Palin, we don't need to win wars. We need to stop soldiers and civilians from getting hurt. I agree with Joe Biden, in all the things that Jon McCain agreed with President Bush on.
First of all, both of you, it's not pronounced "Irack," or "Erack." Sara Palin, we don't need to win the war, we do need to get out of Iraq soon. We don't need to stay and "stop" the terrorists because they don't appear to be firing "Nukyular" bombs at us, do they!

Housing Economy

Barack Obama and John McCain have said almost nothing about the housing economy, a main issue right now in the U.S. People are lending more than they can pay back, and the banks that lent them money are losing money, and the companies that lent them money are losing money, which causes the dominoe effect. As you president, I will balance the housing economy so that no more companies go out of buisness, which causes lost jobs and is bad for families everywhere.
